God is not a Homicidal Maniac (09 Jan 2006) One day on my support group listserve someone posted that it must be part of God's plan that we all got HSP. Bull! The genes got goofed up.
Is it God Descending from Heaven or Another UFO? (09 Jan 2006) Is God real? In recent years our society has come to question this, once simple fact, with confusion. There have been numerous articles and television broadcast proclaiming that God and his angels might really be aliens. Could this be possible? Is there any credence to this theory at all? I believe there might be.
Resurrection Faith (Part 3) (09 Jan 2006) Without the living Jesus Christ, the Christian faith would have been destroyed by the crucifixion and in the return of the apostles to the synagogue and to Judaism all of His teachings would have been buried in the rubble of oblivion.
Philippians 2:1-18 -- Seek Unity Through Humility (09 Jan 2006) This passage begins (2:1-4) with a call to unity that includes basic tenets of Christianity. This passage links with 1:27 and the concern for how the Philippians live. Again, Paul draws on his relationship with them. It is because of that relationship that he can correct their behaviour and attitude.
Seeking after the Knowledge of God (09 Jan 2006) God the Father places an extremely high value on the pursuit of knowledge - especially spiritual knowledge. He says that gaining knowledge is greater than all the silver, gold and material things of this world

Resurrection Faith (Part 2) (09 Jan 2006) The crucifixion to all outward appearances (i.e. historically) was a bloody, revolting, cruel disaster. Here was a "good man" who became the pawn of power politics - who got caught between the millstones of the church and state - the Sanhedrin and the Roman Prefect - and was deliberately sent by Pilate to an innocent death. Historically, the death of Jesus can only be described as sheer tragedy.
Whose Land? (09 Jan 2006) The Arab nations arose through the lines of: Abraham's nephew Lot, Abraham's son Ishmael, and through Esau the twin brother of Jacob. The Jews descended from Abraham, through the line of his promised son, Isaac, who fathered Jacob. In other words, both the Jews and the Arabs are able to trace their ethnic roots through Abraham back to the Shemite Chaldeans, the descendants of Shem.
Revealing (09 Jan 2006) No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
The Scrolls and the Grail (09 Jan 2006) Politics is portioning out the Dead Sea Scrolls and trying to massage the findings according to Dr. Norman Golb who sees the Scrolls as a library for many cultures hiding their knowledge from Rome and Empire.
Living By the Truth, the Word of God (09 Jan 2006) Let's be honest: Too many Christian books are nothing but fluff or teach a viewpoint that is borderline contradictory of what the Bible actually teaches. Christian publishing appears, to this reviewer at least, to be focused too much on marketing and profits, and not nearly enough on solid teaching for building up the church. Into this mess, however, comes a breath of fresh air...

Biblical Hermeneutics – Part 3 (09 Jan 2006) Instead of being passive consumers of biblical commentary, we can participate in the forming of a very particular, but no less authentic, commentary of our own. The only thing that should happen between text and commentary is exegesis, not homiletics.
Biblical Hermeneutics – Part 2 (09 Jan 2006) Even a diminutive exposure to the history of the church's involvement with Scripture gives us reason to pause and re-evaluate our too simple and long cherished assumptions about the nature of scriptural revelation.
Anointed versus Talented: Whats the Difference? (09 Jan 2006) In the Christian world I've heard so many people say that a particular song was "anointed" or how a pastor's message was "anointed, or "The choir was under the anointing today when they sang that selection." As I began to grow more in my Christian walk, I wanted to know what is really meant about being "anointed", and what's the difference between being "talented" and being "anointed", especially being an artist. Here's a little bit of what I found:
Resurrection Faith (Part 1) (09 Jan 2006) At the heart of Christianity is a crossand one of the most significant things about the cross is that it is bare. Christians down through the ages have been sure that Jesus' disgracing death on the cross of Calvary was not the end of the story. Rather, it was the beginning.
Religion has Served Its Usefulness for Mankind (09 Jan 2006) As the world becomes closer and closer together, there seems to be a problem with the World's religions. It is time to close them down. The hypocrisy in all religions is unnerving and shows a complete beak down of mankind's mental capacity and inability to cope with the current projected reality.

The Stilling of the Storm (09 Jan 2006) In Luke and Mark, Jesus stills the storm first and then admonishes the disciples. In Matthews, the action is reversedJesus rebukes the disciples and then stills the storm. One of the oddest features in Matthew is that it begins the story with "the disciples" but ends with "the men."
The Stilling Of the Storm: In My View (09 Jan 2006) In my view, the significance of this miracle of nature as presented by Matthews lies in the theological teachings (which as acts of the "King of the Jews"), it contains. Like the healing miracles, they can probably be best understood against the background of the Old Testament.
Biblical Hermeneutics – Part 1 (09 Jan 2006) The problem of Biblical authority would probably be less bothersome if we were able to approach the Bible unbiasly. Unfortunately, this is not possible.
Miracle Worker (09 Jan 2006) For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
The Occult (09 Jan 2006) The Catholic Encyclopedia says Yoga means 'yoke' and though there is a connection with linguistic truth to this they are not correct. The ways our soul can connect to all that is are many and Yoga means 'union'.
